At the age of 77, Slovak film director Stanislav Párnický passed away on Friday. He became a director in the 1970s, producing movies mainly for Slovak Television. The movie that probably stands out the most from his feature film oeuvre is Kára plná bolesti or 'A Cart Full of Pain', a psychological drama set in a Slovak village during the struggle against fascism in the Second World War. The director was also an ex-husband of well-known actress Zdena Studenková.
