PM meets Zelenskyy in Ukraine

Interim Premier Eduard Heger met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kiev on Friday. The two spoke about the export of Ukrainian wheat, as well as the potential participation of Slovak companies in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. Zelenskyy thanked Slovakia for its help to Ukraine so far, stating that he realises it isn't easy for the Slovak Government. Heger raised the issue of wheat exports from Ukraine, saying that a common solution must be found to get it to Africa and prevent it from ending up on the European market and undercutting farmers there. The Ukrainian president responded by saying that he'll speak to traders so that they don't misuse the situation. Meanwhile, Zelenskyy asked Slovakia for help in reconstructing any of the destroyed cities in Ukraine. This could concern rebuilding schools or hospitals. In this context, he stated that Ukraine would welcome the engagement of Slovak companies. Heger and Zelenskyy also spoke about disinformation and the influence of Russian propaganda in Slovakia.
