USA imposed sanctions against Slovak citizen

US Treasury Department imposed sanctions against a Slovak citizen of Azerbaijani origin. He allegedly attempted to broker the sale of weapons to Russia. Ashot Mkrtytchev was supposed to collaborate with North Korean representatives from whom he requested 20 kinds of weaponry and ammunition. He aimed to sell these to Russia in return for commercial airplanes, raw materials and other goods for North Korea. A man with the same name is a former arms dealer and in Slovakia he has been involved in several cases.
