As many as 600 new jobs should be created in Považská Bystrica in two years as a handful of local factories plan to extend production. This is the first such expansion in the locality since the financial crisis broke out in 2008.
Považská Bystrica, which was famous for mechanical engineering in the past, hosts three industrial parks at present. The oldest one is situated in the former company Považské Strojárne. The two other parks were set up in the municipal parts of Považské Podhradie and Šebešťanová, with the latter developing at the fastest pace.
