Had the parliamentary election been held in March, Smer-SD would have won on 17.6 percent of votes, indicates a poll conducted by Focus agency. Hlas-SD would end up second (17.1 percent) and Progresívne Slovensko took third (12.1 percent), followed by far right Republika (9.6 percent), Sme rodina (7.7 percent), Christian democrats (5.8 percent), Sloboda a Solidarita (5.1 percent) and Demokrati (5 percent).
Ethnic Hungarian Aliancia would be the first out of the house with 4.7 percent, ahead of currently largest governing OĽaNO on 4.3 percent, far-right ĽSNS (2.7 percent), junior governing Za ľudi would have acquired only 1.2 percent of votes.
Smer-SD would have received 33 seats in Parliament, Hlas-SD 32, Progresívne Slovensko 23, Republika 18, Sme rodina 14, Christian democrats 11, Sloboda a Solidarita 10 and Demokrati 9. The survey was conducted in March 14-22 on a sample of 1,018 respondents.
