Listeners and music experts have decided on the Radio_Head Awards 2022. The RTVS's Radio_FM award for Slovak music was given to the latest album by Meky Žbirka, as well as to the band Para for their single To okolo nás. "The award also went to Modré hory for their recording Čudne slávni, the discovery of the year is Berlin Manson and the Debut of the year was recorded by the young producer IAmNt. Another of the young talents, the Dis Is Markéta project, also took home the Advance Investments Foundation Award, which presented its prize for the tenth time," said Janka Imrichová, the intendant of Radio_FM.
Within the genre categories, the producer Blame Your Genes, Besna, Hmlisto & Peter Linhart, Júlia Kozáková and the experimenter Daniel Kordík scored points. "A surprise was the Jazz Music category, where not one, but two recordings won, from the Nikitin, Šrámek, Altar Ensemble and Matúš Jakabčic CZ-SK Big Band project," added Imrichová.
As part of the performances during Friday's gala, Nvmeri and Pino from Puding pani Elvisovej honored the new recipient of the Award for Contribution to Music, Laco Lučenic, with a cover version. For the first time in the 15-year history of the RadioHead Awards, they also presented an Extraordinary Award. "Radio_FM has decided to award the Slovenská Tepláreň project promoting rights of LGBTI.
