Vlhová on her season: Not the best one, but good

Slovak skier Petra Vlhová did not finish the first round of the final giant slalom of the World Cup season in the Andorran resort of Soldeu on the weekend. Thus, she ended third overall this year. Vlhová said this has not been the best season for her, however, she called it “good”.

"It stopped hurting as soon as I dropped out. There's nothing you can do, that's the sport, unfortunately. Honestly, I wasn't thinking about being third overall, but about what I could have done better in the race. I rate the season well. Not the best, but good. There were days that weren't quite perfect, there were days that were great. It was so up and down. I'm satisfied, but not completely. The best moment was probably in Flachau, it was an emotional victory. My results weren't what I wanted and then the victory came, I felt great and I won in front of the Slovak fans. I'm not going to quit, so I'll see you next season," said Vlhová.
