With today’s temperature hitting 36 degrees Celsius (96 degrees Fahrenheit) Bratislava city council has arranged for a water tanker filled with drinking water to be stationed at the main town square.
According to the council spokesman Stanislav Ščepán, the tanker will be in operation at the town square on days when the daytime temperatures exceeds 30 degrees Celsius. This mobile drinking water service follows an increase of drinking water fountains around the capital city with a further nine fountains entering operation, bringing the total number to 40.
