Interim Justice Minister Viliam Karas stated on Wednesday that the recent paroling of Juraj Hossu, who has been conditionally released from prison by Trnava District after serving just under three years of the nine-year sentence that he received for killing a Filipino national on a street in Bratislava in 2018, is a done matter for him. According to the minister, the Justice Ministry has drawn up an analysis of Trnava District Court's decision and has come to the conclusion that there is no room for any further action in the case. Hossu assaulted Filipino national Henry Accorda, who was trying to prevent the harassment of his two female colleagues in 2018. Acorda died in hospital several days later. The ex-convict's parole is set to last seven years, while he will also have to wear a monitoring anklet for three years.
