Lubomir Kropil, a defendant in the corruption case Stock Farmer that concerns extensive economic criminal activities in the Agricultural Payment Agency, died on Wednesday (March 8), Kropil's defence attorney Rastislav Urbani confirmed to TASR on Thursday. It was the Hospodarske Noviny daily that first broke the news. Kropil, who was suffering from an unspecified illness, refused to plea bargain and denied he had engaged in bribery or money laundering, although he admitted guilt on the count of indirect corruption.
