Foreign Minister: The Netherlands is reliable partner and ally in our eyes

In our eyes, the Netherlands is a reliable partner and ally, which, in order to strengthen our security, didn't hesitate to send the Patriot air-defence system with soldiers to Slovakia, stated interim Foreign Affairs Minister Rastislav Kacer, who held talks with his Dutch counterpart Wopke Hoekstra in Bratislava on Tuesday.
The heads of diplomacy discussed the development of Slovak-Dutch relations, the effects of Russia's war against Ukraine as well as the rule of law, the situation in Central Europe and other current European issues. "Our long-term friendly relations don't lack dynamism, which makes me very happy. The Netherlands proved to be a decisive partner and a reliable ally, which didn't hesitate in a crucial time and helped with the defence of our country. By sending the Patriot air-defence system and soldiers who are ready to defend Slovakia, the Netherlands confirmed the unity and cohesion of NATO member countries," said Kacer, thanking his Dutch counterpart for strengthening Slovakia's security.
The ministers also addressed the possibilities of further deepening economic cooperation between Slovakia and the Netherlands.
The Foreign Affairs Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is accompanying the Dutch royal couple during their visit to Slovakia. (TASR)
