Slovakia has sent another batch of humanitarian aid to Syria following the recent devastating earthquake, in particular non-perishable foodstuffs, clothing and items of hygiene, Interior Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Eliasova told TASR on Tuesday.
"The earthquake in Syria deprived millions of people of their homes in the first half of February. These people continue to face conditions in which it is difficult to survive. On March 1, we delivered aid in the form of 6.5 tonnes of health-related materials to Syria, and an additional batch of humanitarian aid is to be flown there by the Interior Ministry's air department today," said interim Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OLANO).
