Interim Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky was dismissed from the post on Friday. President Zuzana Caputova has tasked interim Premier Eduard Heger with taking charge of the Health Ministry. Following the meeting with the President on Thursday, Lengvarsky underlined that he cares about seeing the unfinished projects in such a challenging portfolio as the health sector completed, but without political corruption. He added that he would not continue to work under pressure in an environment that he finds toxic, full of political corruption and amateurism.
Interim Prime Minister Eduard Heger announced on Thursday.that a crisis management will be in charge of the Health Ministry, with Michal Palkovic of the Office for the Supervision of Health Care to be appointed as Deputy Minister. Palkovic will be appointed at a session of the Government, on March 8.
