Economy Minister discusses oil and gas transfers with Ukrainian counterpart

Ukraine is a country close to Slovakia also due to its many connections in the energy segment, interim Economy Minister Karel Hirman told Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko at their Tuesday's meeting in Stockholm, TASR learnt from ministry spokesperson Maria Pavlusik on the same day.
Talks revolved mostly around joint cooperation in the fields of energy and the transit of gas, oil as well as the export of oil-based products to Ukraine.
"Ukraine is a country very close to us, also due to the intense energy connections. From this point of view, the Economy Ministry will extend maximum cooperation to Ukraine with the recovery and inclusion of the Ukrainian energy and economy into the common EU market," said Hirman.
Slovakia shares an electricity grid with Ukraine and there are plans to export fuels, produced by the Slovnaft oil refinery from Russian oil, back to Ukraine. (TASR)
