On Monday, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Marian Majer received the outgoing Austrian military attaché Colonel Karl Fitsch and his successor Colonel Franz Josef Madner at the Ministry's premises. State Secretary Majer thanked the outgoing attaché for the cooperation so far. The meeting with the new Austrian Defence Advisor was an opportunity to discuss the assistance provided to Ukraine and other priorities of the Ministry of Defence for the coming period. The discussion also included the cooperation between the defence ministries within the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC), which has been at a high level for a long time. "Austria has long been an important partner of the Slovak Republic, and we are talking not only about regional, but also value proximity. The intensification of our bilateral defence cooperation is therefore of mutual interest," concluded the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic.
