Slovakia's top three constitutional officials support the ten-point peace plan of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In a joint statement released on the occasion of the first anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, the three officials also stated that they stand firmly on the side of Ukraine and international law. They expressed their regret that innocent people have been killed in the war. According to them, it is in Slovakia's interests to help Ukraine so that it can defend itself and to prevent the war from spreading further. They also declared that it is in Slovakia's national interests for Ukraine to become part of the EU.
