Basketball superstar Curry joins Slovak startup Simplicity

Basketball superstar Stephen Curry became a partner in the startup Simplicity, founded by Slovaks Juraj Gago and Andrej Krúpa, wrote the Denník E daily. Simplicity’s technology platform aims to simplify city services, strengthen the relationship between cities and their citizens. It is currently being used by major US cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
 
Stephen "Steph" Curry, currently playing for the Golden State Warriors, is a 4-time NBA champion and a fan of technology and innovation. He has invested in several Silicon Valley companies in the past and is actively involved in the creation of new technologies.
 
"I'm excited to be joining the Simplicity team and adding to the company's mission to improve our cities and make the way we get information easier," said Curry. "With Steph's commitment to socially beneficial issues and his global reach on social media, with 50 million followers on Instagram alone, Simplicity can become an even stronger player in innovation with global potential," said Gago, one of its founders.
