Further aid for Ukraine was not on the agenda of the Government session on Wednesday, but an additional support package for Kiev could be approved in the foreseeable future, interim Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad (OLaNO) said on the same day. The minister claimed that he and his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksii Reznikov addressed this matter via a video call on Tuesday. "There are ongoing consultations. Next week, we're meeting in Brussels, where there'll be Ramstein-format talks, and these matters will be followed through. The government, in my opinion, will approve an additional aid package for Ukraine in the foreseeable future," stated Nad. Nad noted that the Ukrainians still need air-defence systems, heavy-weapon systems and jet fighters. "The question is about what they agree with other countries and what is provided to them," remarked the minister. The minister said that he expects the meeting next week to produce definitive decisions that will also concern Slovakia.
