Terichem plans to expand dielectric foil production in Svit

At its session on Wednesday, the Cabinet approved draft investment aid for Svit-based company Terichem Tervakoski. Terichem intends to expand its production of dielectric foils used in power transmission systems. The investment worth some €30 million should create 36 new jobs in 2024, and foil output should increase by two thirds to 10,000 tonnes by 2026.
The company will receive investment stimuli of over €4.58 million from the state in the form of income-tax allowances.
Terichem is a joint venture of Finnish company Ab Rani Plast Oy and Slovak company Chemosvit. The company supplies more than half of global demand for dielectric foils for HVDC light power transmission systems. Its production portfolio also includes traction applications; for example, traction systems for high-speed trains and trains in general, heavy road and freight transport and propulsion shipping systems.
