A Blue Dot safe space, protection and support centre will be opened in Nitra, western Slovakia. Its main task is to provide a safe environment as well as experts in psychology, education, social and health issues for all those fleeing war and from disadvantaged or endangered groups. Blue Dot hubs are run globally by UNICEF and UNHCR. In Slovakia, these hubs are established in Bratislava, Kosice and Michalovce. Nitra is the second Slovak location with the highest number of people fleeing the war in Ukraine.
