Outpatient clinics and aid scheme

Ambulance clinics associated in the Association of Ambulatory Providers (ZAP) will sign addenda with health insurance companies. This was announced by the president of the association Jaroslava Orosova after Monday's meeting with the ministries of health and economy and health insurance companies. According to her, they managed to find a way to identify ambulances that need help due to high energy prices. Petra Lániková, spokeswoman for the health ministry, added that the method of assistance for ambulances will still be fine-tuned. "The Ministry of Economy has promised to help inform these people so that they can apply for the aid schemes that are ready," she added. The ministry, she said, is taking several systemic steps to stabilise the ambulance sector. On Friday (27 January), the Ministry of Health and the ambulance sector agreed on a €283 million top-up funding for the sector. The resources are to be divided equally between the general outpatient care segment (73 million euros) and the specialised outpatient care segment (210 million euros). In both cases, the difference is 20 percent compared to 2022. Thus, charges for patients should not be introduced, according to interim Prime Minister Eduard Heger. Jaroslava Orosová stressed at the time that the agreement is only conditional for the time being. She wanted the ambulances to be guaranteed that they would simply get access to the energy crisis aid scheme.
