After two years of COVID-19 pandemic, Košice Airport surpassed the threshold of 500,000 passengers once again in 2022, a number seen last time in 2019, the airport’s spokesperson Lucia Kočišová announced. "A total of 542,864 passengers passed through Košice Airport in 2022, amounting to a year-on-year increase of 222 percent or 374,122 passengers," said Kočišová. The most popular destination was Vienna, followed by London's Luton Airport and London's Stansted Airport.
