Former Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda presented on Friday the foundations of the new political subject, Modra Koalicia, or Blue Coalition. Dzurinda also introduced the members of the new party, mostly politicians from smaller subjects. The Blue Coalition presents itself as a liberal-conservative party. Dzurinda said they want to stop the decline and chaos and to bring about a positive turnaround in Slovakia. They think the country is lagging behind in terms of growth and the living standards of Slovaks, compared to the most advanced countries in Europe. Dzurinda also criticised debt and civilizational decline, as well as the decline in support for NATO and European Union membership.
