The provision of temporary refuge will be extended until March 4, 2024, according to spokeswoman for the Interior Ministry Zuzana Eliasova. She added that documents on tolerated stay marked as 'temporary refuge' with the current date of validity until March 4, 2023 will continue to be valid.
"European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson said back in October 2022 that the directive on temporary protection will be activated at least until March 2024, Slovakia won't be an exception," said interim Interior Minister Roman Mikulec. Persons with documents with the current validity date don't need to take any administrative steps.
