The snap election might be held on September 30, although this date must still be discussed by individual parliamentary caucuses, interim Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO) declared after talks between leaders of former coalition parties on Wednesday. The next round of negotiations is slated to take place later over the weekend. Major coalition party OLaNO caucus head Michal Sipos announced that OLaNO lawmakers meet on Thursday. Sipos perceives as a technical issue the passing of the amendment to the Constitution to enable the shortening of Parliament's current elected term, although he does not believe that this should be achieved via the referendum. Sipos maintained that OLaNO is not afraid of elections and ready to defend their results.
