Slovakia and Ukraine discuss Ukraine's current defence needs

The Defence Ministry State Secretary Marian Majer met a Ukrainian delegation headed by Deputy Defence Minister Denys Sharapov on Wednesday to discuss the current needs of Ukraine in its defence against the Russian aggression. "We're standing by our neighbour and in coordination with our allies will continue to supply the support that Ukraine needs to win its heroic fight for freedom and our shared values," confirmed Majer. The state secretary condemned Russia's aggression against Ukraine as well as attacks on civilian targets. Slovakia has gifted Ukraine military material worth a total of €168 million to date, including the S-300 air defence system, de-mining, anti-tank and artillery systems, ammunition, fuel, handguns, helicopters and BVP-1 military infantry vehicles. The aid also included electric sources, transformers, ballistic vests and medical material.
