Efforts for new 76 are closed, there's need to discuss snap election

Acting Premier Eduard Heger (OLANO) posted on a social network on Tuesday that he finds any efforts to form a new majority of 76 MPs to be closed as of today. "Given that the votes of the SaS party are missing to form a new 76, the discussion about a snap elections is appropriate," states Heger in a statement provided to TASR by the Government Office. "I'll invite OLANO, Za Ludi, Sme Rodina and SaS representatives for talks on the date of the snap election tomorrow (January 18). An autumn date for the snap election seems to be as the most realistic for now," he said.
Heger claims it was SaS leader Richard Sulik who came up with the initiative to form a new 76 a day after Parliament expressed its no-confidence in his government. He said he was contacted by several SaS MPs saying they could imagine supporting the new 76. The opposition SaS party on Tuesday rejected a discussion on a new majority of 76 MPs. It views seeking a majority as a waste of time and sees a compromise solution in holding a snap election in September. SaS stated it has nothing to discuss with acting Premier Eduard Heger (OLaNO) at the moment, as neither all OLANO MPs, nor Sme Rodina MPs are willing to support a new majority.
In reaction, Za Ludi party leader Veronika Remisova said that Eduard Heger's efforts for stabilisation and agreement failed, as usual, because of Sulik. According to her, SaS proved to be an unusable partner. Her party refuses to support a snap election.
