Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj proposed to Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová to join his peace plan effort aimed to bring an end to the war in Ukraine. Čaputová assured Zelenskyj that Slovakia would use everything in its power and capacity to continue supporting Ukraine. She confirmed that the President had unveiled to her his ten-point plan for a just peace, a draft in line with the UN Charter. Zelenskyj also thanked for the aid that Slovakia has been providing to Ukraine, including the help extended to refugees fleeing their homes from the Russian aggression.
Zelenskyj is calling for an international peace summit where he wants to unveil his plan to end the war called 'Peace Formula'. It includes the withdrawal of Russian troops from internationally recognized Ukrainian territory, the return of four regions unlawfully annexed by Russia in September and the Crimean peninsula annexed back in 2014. Russia, however, reiterates that such terms are unacceptable.
