14,244 spectators saw a 3:1 victory of Slovak Bratislava against HC Košice in an outdoor match of the highest Slovak ice hockey Tipos extraliga, which took place at the Tehelné pole National football stadium in Slovakia’s capital. The game, postponed by 30 minutes due to rain was the last of four taking place as part of the event called Winter games, organised on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the home club Slovan. Earlier on Sunday, Old Boys Slovan Bratislava tied 4:4 with Old Boys Sparta Praha in an exhibition game referring to the past rivalry of these teams in the Czechoslovak league. On Saturday, Dukla Trenčín beat HKM Zvolen 2:1 in an official Slovak Tipos extraliga match. On Friday, HC Oceláři Třinec defeated HC Kometa Brno 6:1 in a game that was also a regular part of the elite Czech Tipsport Extraliga.
