MEP Lucia Ďuris Nicholsonová announced that her emerging party will bear the name 'Jablko' or Apple in English. According to her, 'Jablko' should be a modern, centrist and pro-European party. "It is a fresh alternative to the current political parties, which have been worn out in terms of ideologic and human potential and are no longer able to give people hope," she said. As the TASR press agency pointed out, Ďuris Nicholsonová quit the Sloboda a Solidarita (SaS) party in 2021 after coming into conflict with the Informatisation Minister Veronika Remišová over EU funds.
