Bratislava Mayor Matus Vallo and the mayors of Prague, Warsaw and Budapest, Zdenek Hrib, Rafal Trzaskowski and Gergely Karacsony, met with Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Wednesday. One of the main topics of the meeting was the creation of a platform for long-term assistance and the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities. In order to improve the quality and volume of assistance to Ukraine at the city level, they proposed a platform for long-term effective assistance. Ukrainian cities will enter their needs and requests into the system in order of priority, and donor cities will be able to continuously monitor whether they are able to meet some of the requests. The City of Bratislava in cooperation with the transport company will donate 25 12-metre buses to its partner city Kyiv. These were recently replaced by new buses in Bratislava.
