“Health care is so expensive at the moment that the financial participation of patients will become inevitable in the future”, temporary Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky (OLaNO nominee) told TASR on Wednesday. Lengvarsky does not expect this to happen in 2023, however. According to Lengvarsky, the ministry is talking about a system with clearly identified budget-funded services to which patients are entitled. At the same time, services going beyond the standard scope will be identified clearly as well, along with the problem of how to pay for them.
