Slovak Alpine skier Petra Vlhová finished third in a World Cup giant slalom event in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, on Saturday. Canada’s Valerie Grenier, who achieved her first victory ever in the World Cup series, won the race. Grenier finished 0.37 seconds ahead of Marta Bassino from Italy and 0.40 seconds ahead of the Slovak.
Vlhová thus notched up her 64th podium appearance in the series and the seventh one this season. She is currently second in the overall standings, with Mikaela Shiffrin from the USA in the lead.
