A total of 596 inhabitants of Slovakia declared that they are of Jewish ethnicity (out of the Slovak population of 5.5 million) in the 2021 census, TASR has learnt from 2021 census spokesperson Jasmina Stauder. "According to the 2021 census, 596 inhabitants or 0.01 percent declared that they are of Jewish ethnicity," said Stauder. The greatest number of the inhabitants with the Jewish ethnicity lives in the Bratislava region (195 persons).
