The USA will buy a 1,555 square-metre lot close to Bratislava city centre from the state-owned railway infrastructure operator for the needs of its diplomatic mission in Slovakia. This stems from a proposal to grant an exception from the law on the terms of transfer of state property to other persons that was approved by the Government on Wednesday. The railways operator decided that the above assets are no longer needed for the company's further operation and agreed with their direct sale to the United States through the US Department of State. An expert set the value of the lot situated near the new Slovak National Theatre at €442,072 (ex-VAT). The purchase price should be €1.206 million (ex-VAT).
