No proposal on doctors presented

Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky didn't present a proposal regarding the demands of doctors at a session of the parliamentary health-care committee held on Monday, as the committee failed to reach a quorum. The Health Minister stated that he'll present the proposal at the committee meeting on Tuesday, November 29. The Government and the medical trade unionists resolved the issue of doctors' salaries at their meeting on Saturday, November 26, and reached an agreement. Lengvarsky was due to present the agreed changes at the aforementioned committee session on Monday. The resignations submitted by doctors will take effect if their demands aren't implemented by the end of November, Medical Trade Union Association vice-chair Miroslav Mendel warned on Tuesday.
The union representative reacted in this manner to the fact that the parliamentary health committee failed to reach a quorum on Monday, when it was supposed to discuss the deal that the medical unions and the Government reached at the weekend.
