Almost 10,300 pupils from Ukraine attend Slovak schools, indicate data published by the Slovak Education, Science, Research and Sport Ministry. The largest number of pupils attends primary schools (over 7,026). The largest number of pupils from Ukraine attends primary schools in the Bratislava region (2,252), while in other regions the number of pupils attending primary schools is below 1,000. The lowest number of pupils in primary schools (452) is in the Banská Bystrica Region.
There are 1652 pupils in kindergartens. The largest number of Ukrainian children is in kindergartens in the Bratislava region (466). On the contrary, the fewest are in the Banská Bystrica Region, 126. Up to 500 pupils from Ukraine attend grammar schools. Again, the highest number of students is in the Bratislava region (154), the lowest in the Trnava region (30). There are 866 Ukrainians attending secondary vocational schools. In the Bratislava region, where the largest number of them is, the number reached 253. The lowest number of students attends secondary vocational schools in the Banská Bystrica Region (48).
