In addition to the offer for a stabilisation allowance for health-care workers in hospitals, the government will also propose attractive conditions for a recruitment allowance, Prime Minister Eduard Heger stated on Thursday. The premier welcomes the promise made by representatives of the Medical Trade Union Association to waive the requirements related to doctors' employment contracts. The prime minister further said that the goal of the recruitment allowance is to solve the long-term shortage of medical professionals. Following the talks on Thursday, Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky stated that the ministry had reached an agreement with the medical trade unions on seven points of the memorandum, with salaries, which are not within the purview of the Health Ministry, remaining unresolved.
