Kosice to host summit of V4 Premiers on Thursday

The prime ministers of the Visegrad Four (V4) countries (Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland) will meet in Kosice on Thursday (November 24) to discuss the current situation in Europe in connection with Russia's aggression in Ukraine and the energy crisis, the Government Office's press department has told TASR.
"Illegal migration and evaluating cooperation in the V4 region will be on the agenda as well," said the press department, adding that the summit is taking place within the Slovak Presidency of the V4.
Czech Premier Petr Fiala, Hungarian Premier Viktor Orban and Polish Premier Mateusz Morawiecki have confirmed that they will participate in the V4 summit. Morawiecki said that Poland, along with the Czech Republic and Slovakia, will make use of the summit to ask Hungary to ratify Finland's and Sweden's accession to NATO as soon as possible. (TASR)
