President Zuzana Caputova appointed 20 new judges in the Presidential Palace on Monday. In her speech, she emphasised the importance of fulfilling justice, which, according to her, is one of the basic human needs."With your verdicts, you'll contribute to whether citizens will perceive our society as fair. Precisely for this demanding but noble goal - being a judge is not only a profession, but a mission associated with enormous responsibility," said the head of state. She also pointed out that the new generation of judges has a chance to maintain a healthy level of ideals and transfer them to reality. This is the only way to ensure that Slovakia is a just country and that everyone is equal before the law.
