The registered unemployment rate in Slovakia amounted to 5.9% in October 2022, falling below the level of 6% for the first time in two and a half years. The unemployment rate decreased by 0.16 percentage points (p.p.) from September. The share of jobseekers of a productive age able to start work immediately stood at 4.37% in October. "This month unemployment exceeded two significant milestones. The overall unemployment fell below 6% and was under 10% in all regions," said Labour Minister Milan Krajniak.
