The police will look into the financing of the election campaign of the unsuccessful candidate for the post of Bratislava mayor Rudolf Kusy. The Dennik N daily reported on Friday that the Christian Democratic Movement, which supported the candidate in the most recent municipal elections, concealed private sponsors of Kusy's campaign in its transparent account. Party leader Milan Majersky told the daily in an interview that Kusy obtained a hefty sum from the party's account but not all of it actually came from the party. According to Majersky, Kusy also received finances from donors who were not displayed in the transparent accounts of the parties that backed him. In September, Kusy told TASR that the financing of his campaign was transparent. In the recently held municipal elections Kusy finished second, garnering 27.72 percent of the votes.
