Members of the National Council of the Slovak Republic opened an extraordinary session on the situation in the health sector. It was initiated by the opposition Smer-SD. The party wants to push through a resolution at the session, which will oblige the parliament to act and agree on acceptable conditions with doctors. The MPs also agreed to continue on Friday till the motion is fully debated. They are expected to vote on the tabled resolution on Tuesday15 November. After the vote, they would take a half-hour recess, after which the next extraordinary part-session would begin. It was again initiated by Smer-SD. It wants to dismiss Interior Minister Roman Mikulec. The party accuses him of failing to deal with the situation of illegal migration.
