Once the current parliamentary session ends, it is to be followed by two extraordinary sessions, initiated by opposition Smer-SD party, on the situation in health care and the attempt to oust Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OLaNO), House Chair Boris Kollar (We Are Family) confirmed in Parliament on Tuesday. At the session on the health crisis, Smer-SD wants to push through the House a resolution containing demands raised by health unions and commit the government to the passing of a memorandum with doctors and health personnel. Subsequently, the second session should open with a no-confidence motion on Mikulec as the single item on the agenda. The minister is blamed by the opposition for his failure to address the current migration crisis. Mikulec signalled his readiness to face the motion, but rejects such claims as lies peddled by the opposition and maintains that Slovakia is handling the migration wave well. (TASR)
