Prosecutor-General Maros Zilinka has ordered an investigation into whether there has been any criminal abuse of the authority of a public official or obstruction of a task by a public official in connection with checking Slovakia's borders and protecting them from illegal migration, TASR learnt from the PG's post on a social network on Monday. "Today, I instructed the first deputy prosecutor-general to take measures in order to check whether there have been any deliberate or negligent actions by relevant public officials when performing tasks related to checking Slovak borders and protecting the Slovak Republic from illegal migration," wrote the PG on a social network. Meanwhile, the next session of the Security Council will take place on Wednesday. Prime Minister Eduard Heger's spokeswoman Lubica Janikova added that the session will focus on the migration crisis and export of goods via Slovakia to Russia and Iran. As for Monday's call of the opposition Freedom and Solidarity party on the premier to convene a special session of the Security Council, the spokeswoman said that Heger convenes such sessions whenever the situation calls for it.
