Germans: No doubt Slovakia involved in kidnapping Vietnamese citizen

The German bodies are sure, that Slovak officials participated in the kidnapping of Vietnamese state manager Trinh Xuan Thanh and it is only not yet clear whether Slovak participation in the kidnapping was conscious, wrote the SME daily. According to the daily, a major statement is expected to be released in the case.

Vietnamese state manager Trinh Xuan Thanh was allegedly kidnapped by the Vietnamese secret service from Germany to his country of origin in 2017 with the help of a Slovak government aircraft.

As the SME daily wrote, in Slovakia the investigation into the abduction of the Vietnamese man has been suspended by the Slovak Prosecutor General's Office on the grounds that it has not even been confirmed whether the victim was ever in Slovakia. Meanwhile, a court in Germany has already issued a final decision describing the trip through Bratislava as a fait accompli.
