A student began attacking people with an axe at a secondary vocational school in the town of Novaky (Trencin region) on Thursday morning, the police have reported on a social network. One person suffered injuries during the attack, but they were not serious. The police have detained the student. According to the police, students are currently under the care of a post-traumatic intervention team. The National Crime Agency will take over the case. "Based on the information and evidence gained at the crime scene so far, there is a suspicion of attempted premeditated murder of several persons," said the police. The special prosecutor was immediately informed about the case. "We'll provide more details as soon as the procedural situation allows," stated the police.
