High concentration of migrants in Kuty, tent city is being built

There is an increased concentration of migrants at the Kuty railway station (Trnava region), and a tent city is being built there, spokeswoman for the Interior Ministry Zuzana Eliasova told TASR on Tuesday, adding that between the end of September and Monday (October 31), 2,675 illegal migrants and 45 human traffickers were caught in Slovakia. "The police are currently not registering any illegal actions of which these persons are allegedly suspected, or which they have allegedly committed. The police continue to respond to suggestions from citizens who draw attention to the movement of individuals or groups of migrants," said the spokeswoman, noting that after communication with the local parish, food was provided to the people at the Kuty station. Police officers on site coordinate basic health care and help provide food, especially for women and children. The police are collaborating with Senica District Office on building the temporary tent city. (TASR)
