A day after the municipal elections, on Sunday 30th October, 2022, the time will be changed by one hour in Slovakia. The change means setting your clocks back one hour on Saturday night as winter time will begin at 3:00 AM on Sunday morning. Winer Time came into effect in Czechoslovakia in December 1946 due to lack of capacity of power plants during peak hours. The measure has never been cancelled in both of the successor states, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
