The European Commission on Wednesday confirmed it had received Slovakia's second application for a payment from the EU's Recovery and Resilience Facility amounting to €708.8 million (without advanced financing). The Commission in this vein noted that Slovakia's comprehensive recovery plan will be financed from grants totalling €6.6 billion. Slovakia applied for the first payment of €458 million on April 19. Recovery and Resilience Facility payments are based on productivity and depend on whether or not Slovakia completes investments and reforms featured in the submitted national recovery and resilience plan. The Commission now has two months to judge the application.
